Here we are, a bit less than four years since Michael hoisted the coveted Tippspiel trophy (and a beer) into a cold, dark Gauting December night. After 64 games, he won by one point and secured the title he had craved for so long.
To defend his crown, he will have to dig deep. Instead of 64, there will be 104 matches to play until Donald Trump awards himself the winner’s trophy on July 19. It’s the biggest World Cup ever in many ways and it will take a dedicated effort to win this edition of the Tippspiel. It’s also the first World Cup with games played in Seattle, so we have some added excitement over here.
We will have some World Cup merch related prizes for the top three, plus of course the incredible honor of being called the Tippspielmeister/in for the next four years.
Overall, it’s the same procedure as every four years: you register, login and put in your predictions. Make sure to read the rules page and get in your bets up until one minute before the game starts. I also added a couple of bonus questions. A note of warning: it’ll take a bit longer to predict this XXL first round, so don’t wait to the last minute. And while the page is set to auto-save, make sure your predictions don’t get lost.
To register, go to the prediction page. When you first get there, click on register and go through the form. Select a Username (something recognizable), enter your email and select “Family” in the league selection box. You should get an email and be able to set up your password. Once that’s done you can log in and start predicting games.
